What is Overdiagnosis?

It is the detection of an asymptomatic “condition” that

a) will progress slowly enough that the patient dies of other causes before symptoms appear.

b) will never progress (or will, in fact, regress)

Overdiagnosis is typically a side-effect of what we’ve been taught to believe is right way to practice medicine: Detect and treat “disorders” before they cause problems.

Let’s see some data about antihypertensive drugs and their impact on health.
